The Kiwi Asian Club is a social, cultural and sporting club based in the University of Auckland providing a home for Kiwi Asians by balancing both Asian and New Zealand cultures. Our club is one of the most active and welcoming clubs on campus and hosts fun events throughout the uni year to give the opportunity to meet people of similar backgrounds. If you identify yourself as an Asian living in New Zealand, are interested in events ranging from Scavenger Hunts, to mahjong tournaments, to sports days or just want to make a bunch of new friends, then come experience the unique Kiwi Asian culture!
How do I join the Club?
The club frequently has its stall set up around campus where you can sign up to the club, otherwise you can send us an email and we'll get in touch.

No-Rec No-Show Policy
NO-REC (NO RECORD) = If you did not sign up to an event beforehand but you decided to show up without notice - a $5 penalty/surcharge will apply.
NO-SHOW = if you DID sign up but fail to show up without notice - you may be waitlisted on the next event that requires signing-up.
In addition, all non-member sign ups will be wait-listed initially. This is so that members will have priority on events which has limited numbers.
To avoid these things, a quick txt to an Exec is all that's required. Please note that signing-up can only be done online through the website not through friends or Execs to ensure you are signed-up properly. :-)
History
The club was formed in 2001 with a membership of 150 members. Fast forward 8 years, and the club now has over 500 members. We have always had the same principles, focusing on people-bonding events such as Scavenger Hunt, A Few Days Away and the Annual Ball, but we are always looking for new and innovative events to improve the club. The result is a mature, professional and friendly club that is sure to thrive in the future.
